St. Charles, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist University men's soccer team closed out their 2012 season with a 1-3 loss at Lindenwood on Friday evening.
The Bearcats played tough against the MIAA Champion Lions, but it wasn't quite enough. Lindenwood got on the scoreboard first in the 8th minute of play, and then added another goal to take a 2-0 lead into halftime. At the 65:45 mark,
Kaleb Romero netted the Bearcats lone goal on the day via
Matthew Shaffer to cut the lead to 2-1. The Lions would add another goal before the game ended to take the 3-1 victory.
The Bearcats ended their season 3-12-1 while collecting 4 points in the MIAA standings.
Kaleb Romero led the Bearcat offense with 7 goals and 1 assist while Karl DuPont added 4 goals and 4 assists.
