St. Joseph, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist University women's soccer team lost another tough defensive battle as the Bearcats fell to Missouri Western 1-0 on Sunday afternoon.
Missouri Western's lone goal came at the 2:12 mark in the first half, which proved to be enough for the Griffins. The Bearcats out shot Missouri Western 19-12, and goalkeeper
Megan Link had 6 saves for SBU, but it wasn't enough as SBU now drops to 6-8-2 (3-5-2 MIAA) on the season.
SBU will return home on Thursday, October 25 when they take on Lindenwood (5-8-1, 1-8 MIAA). The game is set to begin at 4:00 p.m. from the SBU Soccer Field in Bolivar.
