Bolivar, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist University men's soccer team had a tough match-up against #25 Northeastern State on Saturday afternoon. The Bearcats dropped the contest to the Riverhawks 5-0 on the final home game of the regular season.
Karl DuPont led SBU with 3 shot attempts while
Kaleb Romero had 2. As a team, Northeastern State out shot SBU 33-8, while SBU had 3 shots on goal compared to the Riverhawks 13.
The Bearcats will return to action on Friday, October 19 when they travel to Fayette, Iowa for a re-match against Upper Iowa. The game is set to begin at 2:00 p.m. as SBU looks to avenge a 3-2 loss to Upper Iowa in September.
