The Coaches and the All-Time Series
SBU head coach Jeff Guiot is in his eighth season on the Bearcat bench, where he has won three MIAA regular season titles, and compiled a 147-78 (.653) record. Coach Guiot has led the 'Cats to an MIAA Tournament appearance each season, and three NCAA Tournament appearances.
Mark Johnson is in his 11th season as head coach of the Fort Hays State University men's basketball program. He has a career record of 207-89 in 10 seasons at Fort Hays State.
The Tigers lead the all-time series against the Bearcats 6-5.
SBU Record Watch
SBU Head Coach Jeff Guiot has become the winningest coach in SBU history with his victory over Washburn University on January 3. Coach Guiot has collected 147 wins over his eight seasons as head coach.

Ryan Dougherty has scored 1,037 points in his career as a Bearcat, and currently ranks 10th all-time on the SBU scoring list. Dougherty is currently 2nd all time for three-point baskets made with 179, and is 11 three-pointers away from a new SBU school record.
Scouting the Tigers
Fort Hays comes into the game against the Bearcats with a #8 national ranking, and a 10-2 record, and 4-2 in MIAA conference play. The Tigers are coming off of a 78-40 loss at Central Missouri State.
On the season, FHSU's scoring offense averages 70.6 points per game and their defense allows 61.2 points per game.
Karron McKenzie is the leading scorer for the Tigers, averaging 13.8 points per game. Tyrone Phillips and Moses Dayee are the two other Tigers who average double-digit scoring, with 11.8 and 11.7 respectively.
