The Coaches and the All-Time Series
SBU head coach Jeff Guiot is in his eighth season on the Bearcat bench, where he has won three MIAA regular season titles, and compiled a 152-80 (.655) record. Coach Guiot has led the 'Cats to an MIAA Tournament appearance each season, and three NCAA Tournament appearances.
Kevin Muff, is in his second year at PSU and was a former assistant coach at Pitt State from 1990-93. He returned to campus after serving 12 seasons as head coach at Cloud County Community College in Concordia, Kan., where he averaged 21 wins per season over the last five years.
The Gorillas lead the all-time series against the Bearcats 29-26.
SBU Record Watch
SBU Head Coach Jeff Guiot has become the winningest coach in SBU history with his victory over Washburn University on January 3. Coach Guiot has collected 152 wins over his eight seasons as head coach.

Ryan Dougherty has scored 1,185 points in his career as a Bearcat, and currently ranks 9th all-time on the SBU scoring list. Dougherty set the all-time SBU record for three-point baskets made, with his current record standing at 198. Dougherty also currently ranks 7th in assists (280) and 6th in steals (125) in the SBU record books.
Scouting the Gorillas
Pittsburg State comes into the game against the Bearcats with a 12-8 record and 8-5 in the MIAA. The Gorillas are coming off of a 82-84 loss at Central Missouri.
On the season, PSU's scoring offense averages 73.9 points per game and their defense allows 71.2 points per game.
Eric Ray is the leading scorer for the Gorillas, averaging 12.8 points per game. Javon McGee (12.2) and Andra Bailey (11.3) are the only other Gorillas scoring in double figures.
