Bearcat Men Dominate at Lincoln in 93-69 Victory

- The Southwest Baptist University men's basketball team was dominate throughout in 93-69 victory at Lincoln on Wednesday evening. The Bearcats never trailed and had five players score in double figures in the victory.

The SBU men came out strong against the Blue Tigers of Lincoln, jumping out to an early 9-0 lead to start the game. SBU would continue to build upon their to take a 49-24 lead into halftime.

Ryan Dougherty continues to shoot well, hitting 3 more three-point baskets, giving SBU a game high 21 points. Jake Littrel was effective from outside as well, hitting 4 three's giving SBU 16 points and pulling down 11 rebounds for his first double-double of the year, while Preston Guiot added 10 points and five assists in only 13 minutes on the court. Robson Memnon and Daveion Zellner were solid down low, as Memnon scored 14 points and had 9 rebounds, and Zellner gave SBU 12 points.

As a team, the Bearcats shot 57.6% from the field, 50.0% from beyond the arc, and 65.0% from the free throw line. The Bearcats out-rebounded the Blue Tigers 45-29 while forcing 11 turnovers and dishing out 19 assists in the win.

The Bearcats will be back in action on Saturday, January 28 when they host #14 Missouri Southern. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m. from the Meyer Sports Center in Bolivar, Missouri.
