SBU Women's Basketball to Travel to Lincoln on Wednesday

- The Bearcats are set to travel to Jefferson City, Missouri to take on Lincoln University on Wednesday. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m. The game will be broadcast live on 99.9 KBFL, and can be heard online at kbflfm.com. The Coaches and the All-Time Series
SBU head coach Todd Voss is in his first season as the Bearcats head coach. Prior to coaching at SBU, Voss was an assistant coach at Division I Drake University where he helped lead his team to multiple NCAA Tournament appearances.

Katie Vaughn enters her third season as Lincoln University's Head Women's Basketball Coach. Before leading the Blue Tigers in their return to the MIAA in 2010-11, Vaughn guided Lincoln to a 12-15 record in her first season.

SBU leads the all-time series against Lincoln 24-7.

SBU in the MIAA
LaKendra Smith currently leads the MIAA in defensive rebounds, averaging 6.5 boards per game, and is 3rd in the MIAA in total rebounds per game (8.2). Smith also ranks 6th in field goal percentage (49.3%). Chasity Prince is the leading three point percentage shooter in the conference at 56.1%, and has only missed one free throw on the season (28-29). Brittney Dukes ranks 6th in points per game (13.9) in the MIAA.

Scouting the Blue Tigers
The Lincoln Blue Tigers come into the game against the SBU Bearcats with a 11-6 overall record, and 5-6 in conference play.
The Blue Tigers offense is averaging 71.3 points per game, while their defense is allowing 65.6 points per game.

Vivian Essuon is the leading scorer and rebounder for LU, averaging 15.2 points per game and grabbing 10.1 rebounds per game. Freddie Sims is the next highest scorer for the Blue Tigers with 12.4 points per game, while Arriana Walker averages 11.1 points per game.
