SBU Men's Basketball Takes on Conference Rival Central Missouri on Saturday

- The Bearcats finish their short two game home stand when they host Central Missouri on Saturday, January 21. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m. The game will be broadcast live on 99.9 KBFL, and can be heard online at kbflfm.com. The Coaches and the All-Time Series
SBU head coach Jeff Guiot is in his eighth season on the Bearcat bench, where he has won three MIAA regular season titles, and compiled a 150-79 (.655) record. Coach Guiot has led the 'Cats to an MIAA Tournament appearance each season, and three NCAA Tournament appearances.

Kim Anderson is in his 10th season at UCM where he has won more games than any other coach in school history with a 203-74 (.733) career record. He has guided the Mules to two Final Fours, three MIAA Regular Season championships, three MIAA Tournament titles and has won at least 24 games five times.

Central Missouri leads the all-time series against SBU 34-22.

SBU Record Watch
SBU Head Coach Jeff Guiot has become the winningest coach in SBU history with his victory over Washburn University on January 3. Coach Guiot has collected 150 wins over his eight seasons as head coach.

SBU guard Ryan Dougherty has scored 1,086 points in his career as a Bearcat, and currently ranks 10th all-time on the SBU scoring list. Dougherty is currently tied for 1st all time for three-point baskets made with 189, and is 1 three-pointer away from a new SBU school record. Dougherty also currently ranks 9th in assists (266) and 7th in steals (118) in the SBU record books.

Scouting the Mules
Central Missouri comes into the game against the Bearcats with a 11-4 record and 7-3 in the MIAA. The Mules are coming off of a 78-73 victory at Truman State, and are riding a four game win streak.

On the season, UCM's scoring offense averages 76.7 points per game and their defense allows 62.9 points per game.
Widgett Washington is the leading Mule scorer this season, averaging 13.1 points per game. Dominique Long averages 12.0 points per game, while Boo Hunter averages 11.6 points per game.
