SBU Women's Basketball Opens up the New Year Hosting #21 Washburn

The Coaches and the All-Time Series
SBU head coach Todd Voss is in his first season as the Bearcats head coach. Prior to coaching at SBU, Voss was an assistant coach at Division I Drake University where he helped lead his team to multiple NCAA Tournament appearances.

Ron McHenry enters his tweleth season as head women's basketball coach at Washburn University. McHenry led Washburn to a 22-7 record, second-place finish in the MIAA at 17-5 and 10th straight trip to the NCAA tournament, McHenry enters the year with a 290-60 (.828) record.

The Lady Blues lead the all-time series against the Bearcats 31-11.

Scouting the Lady Blues
The Lady Blues come back after winter break ranked #21 in the nation with a 11-3 overall record, and 4-1 in conference play.

The Lady Blues offense is averaging 75.9 points per game, while their defense is allowing 53.2 points per game.

Ebonie Williams is the leading scorer for WU, averaging 12.1 points per game. The Lady Blues also have three other players averaging double figures: Cassie Lombardino (10.6), Stevi Schultz (11.5), and Tiara George (13.5).
