SBU Women's Team Looks to Move up MIAA Rankings When They Host Missouri Western on Tuesday

The Coaches and the All-Time Series
SBU head coach Todd Voss is in his first season as the Bearcats head coach. Prior to coaching at SBU, Voss was an assistant coach at Division I Drake University where he helped lead his team to multiple NCAA Tournament appearances.

Lynn Plett is in his fifth season as head coach of the Missouri Western State University women's basketball program. In his first four seasons, Plett has led the Bearcats to a 39-69 record, with an appearance in the MIAA Tournament in Kansas City, Missouri last season.

The Missouri Western Griffons lead the all-time series against the SBU Bearcats 29-16.

Scouting the Lady Griffons
The MWSU Lady Griffons come into the game against the SBU Bearcats with a 5-9 overall record, and 3-6 in conference play.

The Lady Griffons offense is averaging 60.9 points per game, while their defense is allowing 68.2 points per game.

Jessica Koch is the leading scorer for MWSU, averaging 21.5 points per game and grabbing 7.1 rebounds per game. Brittany Griswold is the next highest scorer for the Griffons with 10.1 points per game and 4.4 rebounds. Alicia Bell is leading the Griffons with 57 assists on the season.
