Maryville, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist University men's basketball team played a tough, physical battled against #24 Northwest Missouri State, dropping the contest 78-55. The Bearcats had two players in double figures in the loss.
The Bearcats played well in the first half, taking a 36-31 lead into the break, but came out cold in the second half, going on to a 78-55 loss.
Robson Memnon lead SBU in scoring with 17 points off of 8 of 14 shooting from the field.
Kyle Sloan gave the Bearcats 13 first half points, while Ryan Doughery scored 8 points for SBU.
Preston Guiot also provided SBU with 8 points, dished out 9 assists, and collected 5 steals in the loss. As a team, SBU shot 37.5% from the field, 29.6% from beyond the arc, and 41.7% from the free throw line.
The Bearcats will be back in action on Tuesday, January 17 when they host the Griffons of Missouri Western. Tip-off is set for 7:30 from the Meyer Wellness Center in Bolivar, Mo.
