Bolivar, Mo. - The Bearcats had a tough match Saturday afternoon against Truman State. SBU fared well against Truman, but ultimately fell short in double overtime against the Bulldogs, 3-2.
Kelly Isaac scored two goals for the Bearcats receiving her 3
rd and 4
th goal of the season. SBU had 9 shot attempts with 6 of them coming form Isaac. Goalkeeper,
Megan Link, had 15 saves on the afternoon for SBU.
"I thought we played well enough to win," head coach
Rob Podeyn stated. "The kids worked hard, but after playing a team like Oral Roberts on Thursday, and then following it up with a double overtime match today, we ran out of gas. We are significantly better than we were in the beginning of the season."
The Bearcats will be back on the road at the University of Central Missouri Thursday, September 24, at 6pm.
