Bolivar, Mo. - Fresh off of the SBU Purple Bash, the Bearcats volleyball team was back in action against Baker University on Wednesday afternoon. The Bearcats played tough throughout the contest, but came up just short, losing 3-1.
SBU was once again lead by
Britni Reed, who continues her impressive season. Reed lead the Bearcats in both digs (22) and kills (12).
Kylie Heim was dominant at the front of the net, recording a team high 12 kills and collecting four blocks in the contest.
As a team, the Bearcats had an attack percentage of .182, had 48 kills on 44 assists, and recorded 10 team blocks. The Bearcats defense was excellent in the third set, holding Baker to a -0.048 hitting percentage.
The Bearcats will be back in action on Saturday, September 17th when they travel to Joplin, Missouri to take on Missouri Southern State University. Game time is set for 2:00 p.m.
