Bolivar, Mo. - Head women's basketball coach, Todd Voss, has announced the hiring of coach Todd Earl as the new graduate assistant for the women's basketball program. “After a search that included several high quality candidates, we are very pleased to announce the addition of Todd Earl to our program as a graduate assistant coach,” coach Voss commented.

Coach Todd Earl brings his extensive experience and love of sport to Southwest Baptist University this spring as the women's basketball graduate assistant coach. Coach Earl was the assistant boy's basketball coach for Lincoln Christian HS in Lincoln, NE during the 2010 and 2011 seasons where he helped lead his team to a state championship. Prior to 2010, he was the assistant women's basketball coach at Harvard University leading his team to a 20 and 9 record and receiving an automatic bid into the Women's National Invitation Tournament. Coach Earl has been a manager or coach with basketball since 2003. His involvement with women's basketball started in 2003 as a manager for MSC, Grand Junction Co.

“He has a passion for the development of young people and the game of basketball,” coach Voss commented of his new assistant. “Coach Earl's positive high energy approach and work ethic will be a great fit for the program we are building.”

Coach Earl attended Colorado State University during the years of 2005 through 2009 earning a degree in Political Science and a minor in Sociology. Coach Earl has said he is excited for the opportunity to work here alongside Coach Voss and the SBU athletes. “To be hired on as a GA at SBU is a great honor,” coach Earl commented. “SBU is a great school that offers student athletes a unique experience both in the classroom and on the court. The professors really care about the students and the athletic program has done great work keeping facilities state of the art. To work alongside Coach Voss is a tremendous honor; he has a great reputation among his peers in the coaching profession. It is exciting to continue to build the winning tradition at SBU.”
