SBU vs. NWMSU

Kansas City, Mo. - The SBU men's tennis team lost a tough matchup in the MIAA Tennis Championship Match to Northwest Missouri State 5-1.

After the Bearcats defeated Washburn 5-1 to reach the finals, they had a solid performance from the doubles team of Domingos Carissimo and Jorge Margiotta as they picked up an 8-3 victory over Northwest's #1 doubles team. Northwest would win the next 5 matches to claim a 5-1 victory.

The Bearcats will now wait to see if they receive an NCAA Tournament birth, where they currently are ranked #6 in the south central region and #32 in the nation.
