Bolivar/Jefferson City, Mo. - The SBU Women's Bearcat Tennis squad picked up two impressive wins this past weekend. On Friday, SBU hosted #27 Drury University, and were able to come away with a 6-3 victory. On Saturday, SBU traveled to Lincoln, and defeated the Blue Tigers 9-0.

Freshman Mehak Singh was once again impressive in her singles matches, winning both her matches 6-1, 6-4 and 6-1, 6-0 on the weekend.  With the two victories, Singh remains undefeated on the year. Against Drury, singles winners included Singh, Faiga Schmidt, Anjela Panovski, and Jenna Hendrickson. In the first MIAA match-up of the season, SBU did not lose a match against Lincoln.

Next up SBU will return home to face Emporia State for the first home MIAA contest.  The matches will begin at 2:00 p.m. from Bolivar.
