Arkadelphia, Ark. - The SBU women's tennis team opened up their season in Arkansas this past weekend with some good performances to take from the weekend.

#47 Mehak Singh was perfect on the weekend in singles matches.  Playing from the one spot, Singh collected victories over Delta State, Northeastern State, Tarleton State, and Arkansas-Fort Smith.  There were many close battles throughout the weekend, with other victories coming in singles matches from Crystal Guiot and Jenna Hendrickson and from the doubles team of Guiot/Hendrickson.

For the weekend, SBU faced Arkansas Fort-Smith (L, 1-8), Tarleton State (L, 4-5), Delta State (L, 2-7), and Northeastern State (L, 1-8).

Next up the SBU women's tennis team travels to Arkansas as they take on Arkansas Tech University on March 6.
