Arkadelphia, Ark. - The SBU men's tennis team began their season this past weekend in Arkadelphia, Arkansas.  SBU fell to #4 Ouachita Baptist 8-1, defeated Delta State 6-3, and lost the final matchup of the weekend to Oklahoma Christian 8-1.

The Bearcats had some solid performances on the weekend. The doubles team of Domingos Carissimo and Jorge Margiotta, ranked 31st in the nation, were able to defeat #16 Kohlmann/Heilshorn of Ouachita Baptist 8-6.  Carissimo/Margiotta went on to defeat Polosse/Mondoloni of Delta State 8-6 later in the weekend.

Next up the SBU men's tennis team comes home to face Ouachita Baptist on February 26.  The women's tennis team opens up their season as they travel to Bentonville, Arkansas on February 24.
