"Bottom line is we didn't come out of the gate ready to play," head coach Jeff Guiot commented after the game. "We competed really hard in the second half, holding them to only 32 points. If we had came out in the first half, and were ready to play, we would have won. I like how we came out in the second half and battled, guys came out and played hard and competed. In 2007 we started 0-3 and finished 10-8, fourth in the conference. What is going to win in this league, especially on the road, is consistency."

The Bearcats will be back in action on Saturday, December 10 when SBU hosts Pittsburg State. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m. from the Meyer Sports Center. Be sure to follow SBU AD Mike Pitts on Twitter @ad_at_sbu for live updates at all SBU sporting events he attends.
