The Coaches and the All-Time Series
SBU head coach Todd Voss is in his first season as the Bearcats head coach. Prior to coaching at SBU, Voss was an assistant coach at Division I Drake University where he helped lead his team to multiple NCAA Tournament appearances.
Michael Smith is in his fourth year of building the Truman women's basketball team into a contender in the MIAA. Smith's club over the past three seasons have improved each year in overall wins, conference wins and conference road wins culminating last season in their first trip to the MIAA postseason tournament.
The Bearcats lead the all-time series against the Bulldogs 29-15.
Scouting the Bulldogs
The Bulldogs come into the weekend with a 6-1 overall record, and 1-1 in conference play. Truman State is coming off of a 79-78 loss to Pittsburg State.
In the MIAA, TSU is ranked 4th in total offense, averaging 77.3 points per game, and defensively they are ranked 8th allowing 63.7 points per game.
Becka McHenry is the leading scorer for the Bulldogs, averaging 13.6 points per game. Jennifer Conway also averages 13.4 points per game, and a team high 7.7 rebounds per game, while Allie Norton and Breanna Daniels both average double figures for Truman.
