SBU Women's Basketball Opens up MIAA Play at #25 Central Missouri

- The Bearcats open up MIAA play on Wednesday when they face the Jennies of Central Missouri. The game will be broadcast live on 99.9 KBFL, and can be heard online at kbflfm.com. Fans can also follow live stats at http://www.ucmo.edu/athletic/live/womensbb/xlive.htm.

The Coaches and the All-Time Series
SBU head coach Todd Voss is in his first season as the Bearcats head coach. Prior to coaching at SBU, Voss was an assistant coach at Division I Drake University where he helped lead his team to multiple NCAA Tournament appearances.

Dave Slifer enters his eighth season at the helm of the Jennies, compiling a 125-82 record at UCM. He is the sixth-winningest active coach in NCAA Division II women's basketball with a 508-181 (.737) overall record.

Central Missouri leads the all-time series against the Bearcats 45-11.

Scouting the Jennies
The Jennies open up MIAA play ranked #25 in the nation, with an overall record of 5-0. UCM is coming off of a 91-47 win over Benedictine.

Taylor Hanson is the leading scorer for the Jennies, averaging 17.6 points per game. Shaquanda Wiggins has provided solid post play, averaging 16.6 points per game and 11.4 rebounds per game.
