Bolivar, Mo. - After coming away co-champions of the Alaska Invitational Tournament, the Bearcats return home to host the SBU Thanksgiving Classic on November 25 and 26. The Bearcats will face off against Evangel on Friday night at 7:30 before taking on #11 Central Oklahoma at 7:30 on Saturday.
The Coaches and the All-Time Series
SBU head coach Jeff Guiot is in his eighth season on the Bearcat bench, where he has won three MIAA regular season titles, and compiled a 143-72 (.665) record. Coach Guiot has led the 'Cats to an MIAA Tournament appearance each season, and three NCAA Tournament appearances.
Steve Jenkins enter his 30th season as Evangel's head basketball coach and is Evangel's all-time leader in men's basketball coaching wins.
Terry Evans is 193-79 in nine years at UCO -- including a 104-23 mark the last four seasons -- and has directed the Bronchos to seven national tournament appearances, including the last four in a row.
The Bearcats lead the all-time series against the Crusaders 35-17, and also led the all-time series against the Bronchos 4-2.
SBU Record Watch
SBU Head Coach Jeff Guiot currently has 143 wins in his career at SBU, and is 4 wins away from becoming the winningest coach in SBU history.

Ryan Dougherty has scored 918 points in his career as a Bearcat, and is 82 points away from scoring 1,000 points in his SBU career. Dougherty also ranks 3rd all time for three-point baskets made with 156, and is 34 three-pointers away from a new SBU school record.
Scouting the Crusaders
Evangel comes into the tournament riding a six game win streak, and currently are sitting at 7-1 on the season.
The Crusaders are led in scoring by Zack Kleine and Jayme Donnelly who both average 12.5 points per game.
Stephen Cotten is the leading rebounder for the Crusaders, with 7.1 boards per game.
Scouting the Bronchos
Central Oklahoma comes into the tournament with a #11 ranking in the nation and a 3-2 record on the season.
The Bronchos are led in scoring and rebounding by Tyler Phillips who averages 15.4 points per game and 5.8 rebounds per game. Brent Friday averages 12.4 points per game, Shane Carroll 11.2, and Johnny Stephene 10.2.
