Bolivar, Mo.
- The Southwest Baptist Bearcats hosted the Drury Panthers on Monday night, but came up short in the contest 66-52. The Bearcats were led by Brittney Dukes who gave the Bearcats 13 points.

The Bearcats fought hard throughout the contest, and were up 30-27 with one minute left in the first half. The Panthers would go on a mini-run to close out the first half up 33-30. The Bearcats played an aggressive second half, but came up just short, dropping the game 66-52.

Brittney Dukes was the leading scorer for the Bearcats for the second game in a row, with 13 points off of 5 of 12 shooting from the field. Dukes also added 4 assists, and 3 steals. Chasity Prince also provided the Bearcats with solid minutes off of the bench, coming away with 10 points in the game, and Tanis Spani had 9.

As a team, the Bearcats shot 39.0% from the field and 26.3% from beyond the arc. The Bearcats out-rebounded Drury 33-31, and forced 15 turnovers in the loss.

"I thought our kids came out and fought really well," head coach Todd Voss commented. "We hit some three's and again I think that will be a strength of this team. I was also really pleased with our post play. We got solid minutes from Lakendra [Smith] and Chasity [Prince] gave us a boost off the bench. Our movement was good in the first half, but we need to sustain it in the second half."

The Bearcats will be back in action on Monday, November 21 when they host Ottawa (Kan.). Tip-off is set for 6:00 p.m. from the Meyer Sports Center in Bolivar.
