Kirksville, Mo. - The SBU Bearcats volleyball team played a tough game against Truman state, but came up short in the contest, 3-1, despite
Britni Reed's 17th double-double on the season.
The Bearcats dropped the first two sets 25-9, 25-17 before coming back to take the third set 25-19. However, the Bulldogs finished off the evening with a 25-19 final set. Reed continues her breakout season, recording her 17th double-double on the year, lead the Bearcats with 11 kills, and coming up with 11 digs. The Bearcats had three other ladies with 7 kills a piece: Kyle Heim,
Carrie Johnson, and
Mackynzi Gibson.
Kristi Hager lead SBU defensively with 25 digs in the contest, and Gibson added a career high 10 digs.
The Bearcats will be back in action on Friday, November 11 when they host Northwest Missouri State. The game is set to start at 7:00 p.m. from the Meyer Sports Center.
