Bolivar, Mo. - The SBU Volleyball team had a tough matchup against #5 Washburn on Friday, and played well, but came up short 3-0. The Bearcats scored 20 points in each set, but came up just short 25-21, 25-23, 25-22.
SBU was lead in kills by 
Kylie Heim with 10, and followed closely 
Carrie Johnson and 
Britni Reed who each had 7 kills. 
Kristi Hager lead the backrow, providing 16 digs for the Bearcats, with Reed collecting 14. The Bearcats were once again active on the blocks with a team total of 9.0 blocks compared to Washburn's 3.0 blocks. As a team, SBU had an attack percentage of .227.
The Bearcats will be back in action on Friday, October 14 when they travel to Pittsburg, Kansas to take on Pitt State at 7:00 p.m.
