St. Joseph, Mo. - The SBU volleyball team battled Missouri Western on Saturday night in St. Joseph, Missouri, but came up short in the contest 3-1. The Bearcats would go on to take the first set, 25-22, but then would go on to drop the next three: 23-25, 29-31, and 8-25.
Carrie Johnson lead the Bearcats in kills with 11, and also had a hitting percentage of .333.
Kristi Hager and
Britni Reed both had double digit digs for SBU, collecting 21 and 17 respectively.
Whitney Miller and
Kelsey Fankhauser both collected double digit assists, with 21 and 14.
The Bearcats will be back in action on Tuesday, October 25 when they host Central Missouri in Bolivar. The game is set to begin at 7:00 p.m.
