Maryville, Mo. - The SBU Bearcats volleyball team had an impressive showing on Friday night in Maryville, defeating the Bearcats of Northwest Missouri 3-0. SBU battled hard in each game, taking the contest 25-23, 26-24, and 29-27.
Britni Reed collected her 14th double double of the season with 10 kills and 10 digs for the Bearcats.
Kylie Heim lead SBU in kills, with 12, and hit an impressive .571 in the contest.
Jenna Isaacs also contributed 8 kills and a .375 attack percentage, and
Carrie Johnson had 7 kills with a .368 attack percentage, while also collecting four service aces.
Kristi Hager continued to lead the Bearcats defensively, collecting a team high 12 digs. As a team, SBU hit a season high .327 and outblocked their opponent for the 13th time this season, collecting 6.0 team blocks.
The Bearcats will have a quick turnaround, as they travel to Kansas City on Saturday night for a match-up with Missouri Western set to begin at 7:00 p.m.
