Bolivar, Mo. - The SBU Bearcats took on the Hornets of Emporia State on Thursday afternoon, falling short 3-0 in the contest.
Paige Hemphill had a scoreless second half in goal, as SBU tried to mark a comeback, but came up just short.
As a team, the Bearcats out shot the Hornets 17 to 12, with
Kelly Isaac leading the way with five shot attempts, but were unable to get on the scoreboard. Hemphill had one save in the second half.
The Bearcats will be back in action against on Saturday, October 22 when they travel to Truman State with a match-up against the Bulldogs. The game is set to begin at 12:00 p.m.
