THE COACHES AND ALL-TIME SERIES
SBU head coach Jeff Guiot continues in his seventh season on the Bearcat bench, where he has won three MIAA regular season titles, and compiled a 134-58 (.698) record. Coach Guiot has led the 'Cats to an MIAA Tournament appearance each season, and three NCAA Tournament appearnaces. Last season, SBU won 20 games for the third consecutive season, marking the first time in the history of the program the feat has been accomplished.
Coach John Redmond is in his second year at Lincoln University as head coach for the men's basketball program. Before taking over the head coaching position in 2009, coach Redmond served as the assistant men's basketball coach from 2007-2009.
The Bearcats lead the all-time series against the Blue Tigers 20-15.

Warrensburg, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist University Bearcats lost a tough matchup to the Central Missouri Mules in Warrensburg, 66-89. The Bearcats were lead by a spectacular performance by
Tre Smith, who scored a career high 18 points off of 6 of 12 shooting from the field. “Tonight is something [
Tre Smith] can build upon” said head coach Jeff Guiot.
Kurt Koenig and
Stephen Cotten both contributed 10 points in the Bearcat loss.
Freshman Dalton Kelly continues to improve and see increased playing time, playing a season high 31 minutes in tonight's contest. “Dalton stepping up and playing, and Tre getting those minutes is going to be good [for the future]” coach Guiot commented after the game.

Robson Memnon continue to be the inside presence for the Bearcats. The two big men average a combined 14.3 points per game and 9.2 rebonds per game

Ryan Dougherty is the leading scorer for the Bearcats averaging 14.5 points per game, He also leads the Bearcats in field goal made (5.1 p/g), and minutes played per game (28.5 p/g).
• Junior guard
Tre Smith scored a career high 18 points last Saturday (Jan. 22) against the Central Missouri Mules. He also had four rebounds and two assists.
•The Bearcats have two of the top five best three-point shooters in the MIAA.
Nick James holds the highest position (.476) and
Tomas Brock holds the fourth spot in the MIAA (.444).
• James, along with
Zach Kleine continue to make an impact for the Bearcats. The freshman duo average a combined 12.9 points per game.
• SBU is 8-9 overall and 5-6 in the conference. The Bearcats are ninth in the MIAA standings, and average 81.6 points per game (3rd in the MIAA).
Scouting the Blue Tigers
Lincoln University is ranked twelveth in the MIAA. The Blue Tigers have a 2-14 overall record (0-12 MIAA). LU averages 71.9 points per game (9th in the MIAA). The Blue Tigers also average 38.3 rebounds per game (2nd in the MIAA), 10.2 assists (12th in the MIAA), and 7.4 steals per game (4th in the MIAA).
Senior guard Pierre DeClue is the Blue Tigers' leading scorer averaging 18.1 points per game. DeClue also averages 3.5 assists per game, 1.6 steals per game, and averages an MIAA high 38.8 minutes played per game.
