Bolivar, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist lady Bearcats lost a hard fought battle against the Bearcats of Northwest Missouri, 68-78.  SBU was able to grab an early second half lead and stay close with the Northwest Missouri Bearcats, but came up just short in the end.

Chasity Prince lead the way for SBU with 12 points, Courtney Heady added another 11, and Ashleigh Gallio finished off the double digit scoring with 10 points.  As a team, SBU shot 42.6% from the field and 37.1% from beyond the arc.

"We have been shooting well and playing well," head coach J.C. Carter stated after the game, "but we still have some things to work on."

The Bearcats next game will be Wednesday, January 19th when they travel to Missouri Western to take on the Griffons. "The confidence is still here," said coach Carter, "we are excited for the match next Wednesday."
