Omaha, Neb. – The SBU Bearcats (6-7, 3-6) picked up an impressive win at Nebraska Omaha, defeating the Mavs 76-68. This is the Bearcats second straight MIAA victory.

The Bearcat women were lead by Jaquavia Couch's 21 points from seven of nine shooting from the field, and a perfect seven of seven shooting from the stripe. Whitney Malone added another double-double to her season numbers, scoring 12 points and grabbing 15 rebounds.

The Bearcats continued their hot shooting as a team, hitting 53.8% from the field and 50% from beyond the arc.

“Tonight was truly a team effort,” head coach J.C. Carter stated after the game. “We had players step up and make plays tonight.”

The Bearcat women will host Northwest Missouri State in Bolivar on Saturday, January 15.
