BOLIVAR, Mo. -- The SBU women's tennis team rolled over Fort Hays State 6-0 Friday morning, but their second scheduled match of the day with Lincoln was rained out.
In an effort to get the matches in prior to the rain, SBU and Fort Hays played only singles matches. SBU swept all of those matches, winning all six in straight sets. #1 Jolee Cook and #6 Misti Janisch led the way with 6-0, 6-0 shutouts. #4 Jenna Hendrickson also won handily, posting a 6-1, 6-0 win. Fort Hays and Lincoln were in progress when the rains came, but the weather wiped out that match as well.
Weather permitting, the SBU women and men are scheduled to play Nebraska-Omaha on Saturday at 9 a.m. from the Bryant Tennis Center. Lincoln and Missouri Western women will play at the Bolivar Middle School (formerly BHS) courts, also at 9 a.m. Then at 2 p.m., the SBU women will host Missouri Western.
