BOLIVAR, Mo. --
After a thrilling upset win over nationally-ranked Central Missouri, the SBU Bearcats hit the road for the first time in conference play this season, as they head to Lincoln University to face off against the newest members of the MIAA, the Lincoln Blue Tigers. Tickets are still available, and fans can also catch the game live on KBFL 99.9, or find live video online at www.AmericaOne.com

THE COACHES AND ALL-TIME SERIES
SBU head coach Jeff Guiot continues in his seventh season on the Bearcat bench, where he has won three MIAA regular season titles, and compiled a 130-57 (.695) record. Coach Guiot has led the 'Cats to an MIAA Tournament appearance each season, and three NCAA Tournament appearnaces. Last season, SBU won 20 games for the third consecutive season, marking the first time in the history of the program the feat has been accomplished.

Coach John Redmond is in his second year at Lincoln University as head men's basketball coach for the 2010-2011 season. He is no stranger to the program as he served as LU's assistant men's basketball coach from 2007-2009.

SBU leads the all-time series with Lincoln, 19-15. Although the two sides haven't met since the 1999-00 season, the rivalry stretches back to the mid-60's, when Lincoln and the Bearcats met each year, both as members of the MIAA.

LAST TIME OUT FOR THE BEARCATS
With a career high 32 points, senior guard Tomas Brock led the charge, as the SBU Bearcats looked dominant against the 12th-ranked Central Missouri Mules. Brock went 11-of-14 from the field, including a perfect 6-of-6 from three. Although the lead changed hands 16 times throughout the game, SBU never fell behind by more than four points, and a second-half run gave SBU a comfortable 19-point edge to close out the win.

Thanks in large part to the 'Cats hot outside shooting, SBU held a slim margin throughout much of the first half, that quickly ballooned into a 17 point lead, when Brock hit four straight three pointers for SBU, taking the Bearcats from a ten-point, 78-68 lead, to 90-73, a 12-5 run over four minutes that put away the Mules for good. “Brock did an outstanding job tonight; he shot the ball extremely well,” said head coach Jeff Guiot of his point guard. “What I'm proudest of though, is the winning effort from all our guys. Our kids were warriors tonight, and played all 40 minutes. Any time you beat a team like that, it's a fun night.”
