Emily Hamilton made two saves, while midfielder
Lindsey Boden took a pair of shots, but the SBU Bearcats fell in their final home game, 3-0, to the Missouri Southern Lions.
The Lions controlled the tempo throughout most of the game, outshooting the Bearcats, 21-9. MSSU's Kelly White scored the first of her two goals in the 40th minute, giving the Lions a 1-0 lead. White connected again just four minutes later, as Southern took a 2-0 lead into halftime.
The Lions put the game out of reach in the 63rd minute, when Alicia Vonderheid put one past the keeper.
With the loss, SBU ends their season at 6-9-3, and 5-8-3 in the MIAA. Freshman forward
Ashley Creason finished the year with eight goals, tied for the conference lead.
Brittani Ready has nine assists on the year, the most by a Bearcat since
NIcola Cousins' 10 assists in 2008.
