THE COACHES AND ALL-TIME SERIES

Coach Guiot has led the 'Cats to an MIAA Tournament appearance each season, and three NCAA Tournament appearnaces. Last season, SBU won 20 games for the third consecutive season, marking the first time in the history of the program the feat has been accomplished.
Jon Bishop became head coach in April 2008. Before coming to USM, Bishop had been assistant coach at Pratt Community College (Kan.), Missouri Western University, Angelo State University (Texas), Kansas Wesleyan University, Northwest Missouri State, Central Missouri State, and the Kansas Cagerz of the United States Basketball League.
This is the first matchup between SBU and St. Mary's, who compete as a member of the Kansas City Athletic Conference, in the NAIA.
LAST TIME OUT FOR THE BEARCATS

The Bearcat defense played a big part in the win, forcing 26 Spartan turnovers that translated into 40 points for SBU. Junior
