WARRENSBURG, Mo. -- The SBU volleyball team fell to the fourth-ranked and red hot Central Missouri Jennies in straight sets (25-11, 25-16, 25-16). The win over the Bearcats (10-17, 3-8 MIAA) was the 17th straight for UCM (25-3, 11-1 MIAA).

The Bearcats were led in kills by Kylie Heim and Ashley Jurgensmeyer with seven each. Lauren Noble had 19 digs to lead the defense while Brianna Wallace had 19 assists.

With the first set at 6-5, UCM ran off six straight, then extended that to 20-8 margin before winning the set 25-11. The Jennies turned a 4-4 tie in the second into a 12-6 lead, then pushed the lead to eight point margin at 20-12. The second set ended at 25-16. The Jennies never trailed in the third, using a 12-5 run to seal the third set and win 25-16.

SBU hosts #16 Nebraska-Omaha on Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Meyer Sports Center.
