BOLIVAR, Mo. - Cousins scores two to give Bearcats 2-1 win over the Lady Blues.
Freshman forward Nicola Cousins brought her total to ten goals for the season by scoring both Bearcat goals today as they defeated the Lady Blues of Washburn.
Rhianne Mitchell assisted in both goals, bringing her total assists for the season to five.
The Bearcats went into half-time 1-0 up and came out fired up, looking for a second goal. That goal game to them in the 69th minute when Cousins spotted the keeper off her line and slotted the ball past her.
The Lady Blues fought back, cutting the Bearcats lead in half in the 71st minute with a goal from Danielle Sicard.
Johanna Olsson made 7 saves in the game. The final one being a finger tip save in the last minute of the match, allowing the Bearcats to hold on for the win.

The Bearcats will host, new MIAA opponents, University of Nebraska Omaha at 3pm on October 2.
