BOLIVAR, Mo. – The SBU Bearcats played Quincy to a 0-0 tie today, to go 7-2-2 on the season.
"We came out flat," said SBU's head coach, Benjamin Wade. "It's just tough to play four games in eight days. But we rallied in the second half when we changed our formation. Our bench played really well, kept us in the game, and gave a boost to our starters."
The Bearcats threatened early in the2nd overtime, when Nicola Cousins hit the post with one of her three shots on the day.
The Bearcats were out-shot, 9-6, as SBU's Johanna Olsson picked up 3 saves in the shutout.
SBU's record moves to 7-2-2 on the season, as they host Missouri Southern on Thursday, October 16, at 4:00 on the SBU Soccer Field.
