Mike McIntosh enters his 3rd season (2024-25) as the Assistant Track and Field Coach. He specializes in throwing events such as Hammer, Shotput, Discus, and Javelin. He is also the Staff sponsor of the SBU Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He has recruited top talent including Savannah Manthey, who won a GLVC field athlete of the week award as a freshman.

McIntosh comes back to SBU after being an Assistant track and field coach at Western Colorado University for 2 years. Previously, he was a graduate assistant at SBU for three years.

McIntosh was a hammer thrower for the Bearcats from 2013 to 2017. He finished in the top 10 at the MIAA Championships in 2016. He graduated with his Bachelor's degree in in Physical Education in 2017 and his Masters in Athletic Administration in 2020.
