Kansas City, Mo. - Senior guard Megan Rosenbohm has been named the MIAA Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week as announced by the conference office today.
The 5'8" senior from Graham, Missouri carried SBU to a 2-0 week with wins over #21 Central Oklahoma and Northeastern State. Rosenbohm averaged 25.5 points and 9.0 rebounds in the two games. She scored 26 and grabbed 9 rebounds in the win over #21 Central Oklahoma, which was SBU's second win over a top 25 team. Against Northeastern State, Rosenbohm poured in 25 points and 9 rebounds once again. Rosenbohm was excellent at the stripe all week, shooting 88% (22-25) on her free throws. She was also a force on the defensive end by recording 4.5 steals a game. Of her 9 total steals for the week, 7 of them came in the win over #21 Central Oklahoma.
Currently, Rosenbohm is the top scorer in the MIAA with 427 total points and 19.4 points per game. Rosenbohm also leads the conference with 3.0 steals per game and is third in assists with 3.8 a game. Additionally, she ranks third in the conference in free throw percentage at 90.2% and eighth in field goal percentage at 42.5%.
