Bolivar, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist University women's basketball team earned an 80-57 victory over Livin' The Dream in their first exhibition contest of the 2017-18 season. The Bearcats received a balance scoring attack, with each active player scoring points for SBU.
The Bearcats took a 48-30 lead into halftime before eventually cruising to an 80-57 victory. As a team the Bearcats out-rebounded LTD 53-30, while holding LTD to 30.6% shooting from the field and 20.0% shooting from beyond the arc. Offensively the Bearcats shot 49.1% from the field and 52.6% from the beyond the arc.
Megan Rosenbohm led the Bearcats in scoring, collecting 16 points on 7 of 10 shooting from the field, while
Sydney Bandy had 15 points and 7 boards and
Caylee Richardson had 10 points to go along with 11 rebounds. SBU also received 8 points from both
Gokce Cetin and
Morgan Henderson.
SBU will continue their exhibition schedule on Thursday, November 2 when they travel to the University of Missouri. Tip-off is set for 7:05 p.m. from Columbia, Missouri.
