Weather cancels Saturday SBU softball and baseball

BOLIVAR, Mo. -- SBU coaches Christy Capner (softball) and Sam Berg (baseball) have announced that Saturday's scheduled games have been called off due to weather. The SBU softball doubleheader with Emporia State will be made up on Tuesday, May 4 at 2 p.m. The SBU baseball doubleheader with Ottawa will not be rescheduled.
SBU softball will now recognize their seniors this Monday, April 26, between games in the doubleheader with Washburn. The first game with the Lady Blues starts at 2 p.m. Those games were originally scheduled for Friday, April 23 but were also postponed due to rain. SBU softball will also visit Central Missouri on Tuesday, April 27, in a makeup date from postponed games in March.
Berg also announced that Tuesday's baseball games with Maryville have been cancelled.Maryville was unable to make the trip due to finals. The doubleheader with the Saints was originally scheduled in February but was moved due to weather. Berg is still working to find an additional home date as Saturday's Ottawa games were to have included senior recognition in between contests.
