INDIANAPOLIS --- The SBU Bearcats remained in seventh in the latest Division II men's basketball regional rankings, released Wednesday by the NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Committee. The regional rankings will be released weekly on Wednesdays through March 3, 2010. Selections will take place via a webcast selection show on NCAA.com, Sunday, March 7 at approximately 9:30 p.m.

The following top 10 teams in the South Central region, with records through Sunday, February 21, were included in this week's regional rankings:

3. Fort Hays State 16-4, 16-4
4. Nebraska-Omaha 15-7, 15-7

7. Southwest Baptist 16-9, 15-9
8. Northeastern State 15-7, 15-7
9. Missouri Western 13-10, 13-9
10. West Texas A&M 14-11, 14-11
Games against non-Division II schools (D-I, D-III, NAIA) are not counted in the rankings.

SBU (20-9, 11-8 MIAA) travels to St. Joseph on Saturday evening to take on the Missouri Western Griffons (15-10, 10-8). The 7:30 p.m. contest will close out the regular season for both teams. Missouri Western hosts Central Missouri on Wednesday night.
