INDIANAPOLIS -- The SBU Bearcats dropped to number seven in the South Central Region, in the latest regional rankings released by the NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Committee.
The regional rankings will be released weekly on Wednesdays through March 3, 2010. These rankings help determine host sites and the eight 8-team regionals that make up the 64-team NCAA Division II national tournament, beginning March 13, 2010. The winners of each of the regions advance to the Elite Eight in Springfield, Mass., on March 24-27, 2010.
The following top 10 teams in the South Central region, with records through Sunday, February 14, were included in this week's regional rankings:

Games against non-NCAA Division II teams (D-I, D-III, NAIA)
are not included in teams' overall records.
SBU (19-7, 10-6 MIAA) returns to action on Thursday, February 18, when they host Fort Hays State at 7:30 p.m.
