Helped lead SWBC to its first NJCAA National Tournament appearance … Averaged 23 points per game in the national tournament … Was a First Team All-Region pick in 1963-64 and a Second Team All-Region pick in ‘64-65 … Was recruited by numerous Division I schools including Tennessee and Ole Miss but chose to stay at SWBC during transition to the NAIA classification … Also played baseball at SWBC and hit the first home run in the program’s history … Instrumental in the start up of the SBU Athletics Hall of Fame in 1980 … Lifetime supporter of SBU Athletics who has been instrumental in success of many student athletes.
