2014 Prospects Camp

Do you want to play college soccer?  Are you in high school or entering high school in 2014?  Would you like to experience what college pre-season is really like?  Well, now is your chance!  Southwest Baptist University, one of the premier NCAA Division II Programs in the Midwest, will be hosting its annual Prospects Camp.  This is a great place to experience college soccer and to find out what you need to do in order to play in college.  Here is what you will get:

The camp takes place for 4 days and 3 nights on the campus of Southwest Baptist University in beautiful Bolivar, Missouri.  The camp will be run like a typical college pre-season program.  You will be placed in college training sessions, have classroom sessions designed to teach you tactics and systems of play, will be introduced to the NCAA Clearinghouse Eligibility Program, will learn about the recruiting process and will compete on a daily basis against other players wanting to play in college.  The best part is that the entire camp is run by college coaches who will be looking at you for the future!  The staff will include the following coaches (based upon availability):

       Robert Podeyn (Head Women’s Soccer Coach - Southwest Baptist University) - Coach Podeyn is one of the most decorated coaches in the country holding coaching licenses from the USA, England, Brazil, Italy and Holland.  He holds a USSF National ‘A’ License, an NSCAA Premier Diploma, an NSCAA National Youth Diploma, an NSCAA National Goalkeeping Diploma, a UEFA Coaching License, an English Football Association Preliminary Badge, a Brazilian Coaching License, an Italian Coaching License and a Dutch Advanced Tactics Diploma.
 

          Terry Stewart (Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach - Southwest Baptist University) - Coach Stewart is a former 4-year starter for Saint Edward's University. He holds his UEFA Coaching Certificate and USSF National 'D' License. Originally from Newcastle, England, Coach Stewart began his soccer career as a promising athlete in the youth development systems of the English Football Association. At the ages of 15, 16, and 17 he was playing with and against the top English Prospects in the country, man of whom are now enjoying professional careers. After begin released from his youth contract, Coach Stewart came over to the United States to enjoy a 4-year college career at the NCAA Division II level. He was invovled in youth coaching and development in the Austin area, and now makes Bolivar his home.
 

The price of this camp has been set low because we are not interested in using this as a moneymaker.  All campers receive an SBU Soccer T-Shirt and food and lodging for the four days.  A certified trainer will be in attendance to meet any medical needs or training needs.  We will, however, be restricting the numbers to the first 50 registrants who complete the form and return it with payment.  In the past this camp has filled up by July 1^st.  Don’t be caught on the outside of this fantastic experience!  This is not a summer soccer camp.  This IS a PROSPECTS CAMP!  We hope to see you this summer at SBU.
