Plaster Stadium is home to the Bearcat Football team. The stadium was completed in 1985 and is named in honor of the late Robert W. Plaster, a Lebanon, Missouri businessman who was a major contributor to the fund-raising effort for the facility. In 1998, an anonymous donor donated the funds for lights to go around the stadium. Originally, the playing surface at the stadium was natural grass, but in 2013 the stadium was renovated and artificial turf was installed. With its close proximity to on-campus dorms, students and campus groups often fire up grills in the South Endzone prior to game and the sounds of the Ellen Bell ring loudly through the stadium after SBU touchdowns.
Inside the stadium is the Orlin B. Stewart Track. The track is used by the Bearcats Cross Country and Track and Field teams. The track also houses a pole vault pit, a jumping pit, and a throwing cage. It is named in honor of Orlin B. Stewart, who taught and coached at SBU for 38 years. He also served as the Athletics Director from 1956-1967.
