Pueblo, Colo. - Emma Shell started things off well for the Bearcats at the 2012 Outdoor Track & Field National Championships in Peublo on Friday evening. Shell posted the 8th fastest time in the meet in the 400 meter dash, finishing the race in 54.66 seconds, putting her through to finals which will be run on Saturday. Phillip Miller followed Shell's performance with 14th place finish in the 3,000 meter steeplechase in a time of 10:00.75.

Shell will race for a national championship on Saturday, May 26 in the 400 meter dash finals which is set to begin at 7:15 p.m.
