Bolivar, Mo. - The 2012 Capital One Academic All-District ® Women's At-Large Teams, selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America, have been released to recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom. Southwest Baptist University was well recognized with Andjela Panovski, Mehak Singh, and Faiga Schmidt all earning First Team honors.

Mehak Singh finished an impressive sophomore campaign by going 20-1 in singles and 20-4 in doubles this year. Singh was also named First Team All-MIAA in both singles and doubles. Panovski finished the 2012 season with a 14-6 singles record and 18-6 doubles record, while Schmidt finished the season with a 19-4 singles record and 17-7 doubles record.

With their All-District First Team selections, Panovski, Singh, and Schmidt are now eligible for the 2012 Capital One Academic All-American Team which will be voted upon later this month.
