BOLIVAR, Mo. -- The 2010-11 SBU women's basketball schedule has some new cats and lots of familiar faces. The Bearcats of coach JC Carter kickoff their regular season against another group of Bearcats, when they visit D-I Cincinnati on November 12. SBU's regular season home opener comes up on November 16 against Missouri Baptist, followed by a visit to neighbor Drury on November 20.

A pair of home games close out November, when SBU hosts Central Methodist on November 23 and opens MIAA play on November 30 with Central Missouri. In December, the SBU Bearcats will visit Lincoln, then host Truman, travel to Pittsburg State before hosting Missouri Southern on December 18 to close out 2010.

The new year opens for the Bearcats on the road at defending national champion Emporia State and later at Washburn. SBU has home games with Fort Hays, Northwest Missouri and returning MIAA member Lincoln. The purple Bearcats also visit Nebraska-Omaha, Missouri Western, Central Missouri and Missouri Southern during January.

The month of February features five home dates including back-to-back games with the ESU Lady Hornets and Washburn Lady Blues. The Washburn game is an afternoon contest on February 12, that precedes SBU Honors Night that recognizes the new Hall of Fame class and senior student-athletes. The Bearcats will also make trips to Truman, Fort Hays and Northwest Missouri and host Nebraska-Omaha and Missouri Western to finish the regular season.

With the addition of Lincoln, MIAA teams will play a record 22 regular season conference games. SBU has seven games on the 2010-11 schedule against teams that qualified for last season's NCAA Tournament.
